Job summary

Equinox Fitness Club in Berkeley is seeking an energetic Spa Manager on Duty to oversee daily spa operations and guest experiences. The role focuses on greeting guests, orienting them to facilities, and delivering personal service while supporting the Spa Coordinator path and contributing to sales goals with a service-first mindset.

This position requires shifts, a professional appearance, and the ability to manage inventory, staff scheduling, and adherence to policies in a fast-paced club

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Massage Therapy or Esthetics License.
• Enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills.
• Must enjoy working with people with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Able to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and money handling skills.
• Computer skills.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Support daily spa operations under the direction of the Manager.
• Contribute to spa sales by increasing product and service sales.
• Provide superior customer service to members, prospects and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and esthetic appeal of The Spa.
• Work opening/closing shifts; 30 hours per week (6-hour shifts).
• Assist with staffing and member issues related to Spa.
• Answer emails, calls, and voicemails professionally.
• Build professional relationships with members and guests.
• Manage, restock, and inventory of Spa supplies.
• Assist with training and onboarding for new staff.
• Help create staff schedules for the Spa department.
• Support outreach events and programs within the club.
• Communicate with Maintenance about Spa cleanliness.
• Enforce policies and escalate as needed.
