Job summary

CopperPoint Insurance Companies is seeking a Regional Underwriting Officer, Southwest, in Phoenix. This senior role drives profitable growth, underwriting excellence, and strategic portfolio initiatives across multiple states, while providing national underwriting leadership for Auto and Umbrella lines.

You will partner with regional leaders to execute financial strategies, mentor teams, and manage risk selection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; professional designations preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive commercial lines underwriting experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and training capabilities; willingness to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute regional underwriting strategies for growth and profitability.
• Joint-ownership of regional results including loss ratios and premium growth; drive portfolio actions.
• Conduct QA reviews and promote continuous underwriting improvements with Field Underwriting teams.
• Mentor peers, provide training, and develop guidance for new classes and market segments.
• Build and manage relationships with brokers and agents; participate in agency reviews and planning.
