Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the Water Resources Management Market Sector in the South Central Region. The role drives business strategy, client development, and cross-functional collaboration across HDR’s diverse service lines.

You will lead strategic pursuits, build key client relationships, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality project delivery while expanding HDR’s market presence across municipalities and utilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20+ years of experience in water resources planning and engineering design.
• Bachelor's degree in an architecture, engineering, planning or related field.
• Professional engineering registration (PE) in one or more states in the Central region.
• Experience in development and management of client relationships and project pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of business strategies across the South Central Region in coordination with leadership and client managers.
• Serve as Client Manager for selected key clients within the South Central Region and promote HDR services to Water Resources Management clients.
• Lead staff development, recruitment, and professional growth within the team.
• Coordinate regional marketing and pursuit strategies, and interface with regional/area leadership to achieve MS booking goals.
• Drive technical excellence, QA/QC, and lessons learned across projects and practices.
