Job summary

You will build and lead a first-class regional underwriting team, influence major wholesale brokers, and make decisive execution decisions on capacity deployment. You will balance ambitious production targets with disciplined risk selection, chair cross-functional collaboration with actuarial, claims, product and reinsurance, and

Qualifications

• Deep commercial casualty underwriting expertise.
• Significant experience within E&S or specialty insurance.
• Record of building and profitably growing a regional underwriting business.
• Strong relationships across the South Central wholesale broker market.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, growth, profitability and underwriting performance of the South Central region.
• Build a high-performing regional underwriting team and recruit top talent.
• Provide decisive technical leadership on complex casualty risks and referrals.
• Maintain pricing discipline, track submission flow, hit ratios and loss trends.
• Develop influential relationships with senior leaders at wholesale brokers and executives.
