Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of commercial casualty underwriting experience in E&S or specialty lines.
- Proven leadership experience managing underwriting teams and regional operations.
- Strong technical underwriting skills to evaluate complex casualty risks.
- Track record of profitable growth within wholesale distribution.
- Strong portfolio management, pricing, and profitability understanding.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic mindset balancing growth, risk selection, and execution.
- Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-growth environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead underwriting operations and business performance for the Northwest Zone.
- Develop regional plans delivering profitable premium growth with discipline.
- Own regional production, profitability, portfolio management, and service.
- Monitor KPIs, submission flow, hit ratios, pricing and loss trends.
- Identify growth opportunities and market dynamics to guide strategy.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing underwriting team.
- Develop broker relationships and expand distribution in the Northwest.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on forecast and budgeting.
