Core Specialty is seeking a Commercial Surety Regional Manager to lead underwriting, marketing, production, and portfolio management for the territory. This senior role emphasizes profitable growth, agency development, and underwriting execution, with travel across the region and remote work options for TX or LA.

The role requires strong leadership, financial analysis, and negotiation skills, plus ability to develop relationships with brokers, principals, and indemnitors. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead underwriting for the assigned regional commercial surety portfolio and approve submissions within authority.
• Develop regional marketing and production plans; visit agencies and build broker relationships.
• Manage portfolio profitability, pricing adequacy, retention, and growth metrics.
• Conduct periodic reviews and oversee agency performance; implement profitability actions.
• Recruit, train, and mentor underwriters; promote underwriting best practices.
• Travel across the territory to maintain relationships and drive business development.
