Job summary

Core Specialty is seeking a Commercial Surety Regional Manager to lead underwriting, marketing, production, and profitability for a multi-state portfolio. You will set strategy, approve submissions, and manage agency relationships while maintaining guidelines.

This role requires strong financial analysis, negotiation, and travel across the territory to meet brokers and principals. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus; 5+ years in underwriting, surety preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required.
• 5+ years of underwriting experience in the surety field.
• Strong financial statement analysis and credit underwriting skills.
• Willingness to travel across the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting for the region and approve submissions within authority.
• Develop and maintain broker and agency relationships.
• Drive profitability through portfolio management and pricing strategy.
