Job summary

Heritage Ranch Golf & CC in Fairview, TX is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and to help lead the culinary team with passion and discipline.

You will ensure food quality, presentation, and portion standards, maintain high cleanliness and organization, enforce safety regulations, and oversee inventory and staffing during service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to X lbs.
• Full-time position with flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
• Supervise, train, and support line cooks and prep staff
• Ensure all dishes meet quality, presentation, and portion standards
• Oversee food prep, cooking, and plating during service
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and reduce food waste
• Step in for the Executive Chef when needed
• Maintain a positive, professional kitchen culture
