Hawkers Asian Street Food in Nashville is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to back the Executive Chef in kitchen operations, culinary execution, and team growth. You will lead on the line, uphold high standards, and help cultivate the next generation of BOH talent.

This role focuses on managing food and labor costs, ensuring sanitation, and driving performance in a fast-paced, growing brand. Open availability is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a kitchen leadership role (Sous Chef or equivalent).
• Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Hawkers food quality standards and production targets on every shift.
• Assist in overseeing food procurement, inventory, storage, and ordering.
• Lead line checks, sanitation audits, and pre-service briefings with the team.
• Train, coach, and develop BOH staff; provide feedback and performance counseling.
• Ensure target ticket times while maintaining food quality and consistency.
