Job summary

Verdana Village in Estero, FL, part of Troon, seeks a driven Sous Chef to oversee kitchen operations and lead culinary staff in a fast-paced golf/hospitality environment.

You will assist in managing food production, ensure quality and cost controls, and participate in development of new concepts while maintaining health and safety standards. This role offers hands-on leadership and opportunities for growth within a global organization.

Qualifications

• A college or technical certificate in culinary arts or equivalent experience.
• Ability to supervise culinary staff and maintain quality standards.
• Experience with cost control and following standardized recipes.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages food preparation for specific kitchen areas and shifts.
• Adheres to cost control procedures and uses food-costing sheets and par inventories.
• Ensures recipes are followed and maintains kitchen equipment and sanitation.
• Trains and supervises staff in menu items and equipment operation.
• Assists in budgetary objectives for Food & Beverage.
