Job Summary

Summary: Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods, coordinate activities of cooks and food-service associates, and assume responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and standards, meeting deadlines based on production orders.
• Supervise hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Store food properly following all safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and ensure cleanliness during service.
• Interact with customers to resolve complaints courteously and relay relevant information to supervisors.
• Understand and explain menu items accurately to associates and customers.
• Manage peak production and service hours effectively.
• Monitor inventory, deliveries, and track product usage and waste, informing supervisors of low supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
