Job description

Job Title: Sous Chef

A Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage all aspects of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. Responsibilities include managing food provisions, assisting with guest queries, and controlling costs.

What will I be doing?

As a Sous Chef, your duties will include:

  • Managing all aspects of the kitchen, including operational, quality, and administrative functions
  • Overseeing food provision to Food and Beverage outlets and ensuring compliance with current legislation
  • Assisting in resolving guest queries promptly and effectively
  • Ensuring food quality and proper storage
  • Contributing to menu creation based on guest feedback
  • Maintaining high-quality food production across all hotel outlets
  • Managing customer relations in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Managing resources effectively through work rotations
  • Supporting brand standards through team training and assessment
  • Leading the kitchen team to ensure organization, motivation, and efficiency
  • Controlling costs while maintaining standards and improving profitability
  • Supporting other departments as needed and fostering good relationships
  • Ensuring compliance with security, fire safety, health, and food safety regulations
  • Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
  • Being environmentally conscious
