Job summary

Nbutexas in Monterey, CA seeks an experienced Sous Chef to ensure top-quality preparation of fine cuisine for the restaurant and special events. The ideal candidate has luxury resort or hotel experience and strong leadership in a high-volume kitchen.

You will assist with daily orders, inspect daily specials, engage with guests on special requests, and contribute to ongoing learning and promotions. Competitive pay, relocation assistance, health benefits, and retirement plans are offered along

Qualifications

• Five years of luxury resort or hotel experience.
• Two years’ experience as a Sous Chef.
• Unexpired Food Safety certification.
• Broad knowledge of varied cuisines and ability to integrate regional ingredients into menus.
• Ability to present cooking demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of daily food orders.
• Check the quality of daily specials before service.
• Interact with guests regarding special needs and requests.
• Maintain a professional attitude in a high-volume environment.
