Ascension seeks a Radiologic Technologist for the Peripheral Vascular Lab in Racine, WI. The role focuses on high-quality diagnostic imaging, strict safety standards, and timely PACS submissions to support physician interpretation.

You will operate imaging equipment, verify patient data, and ensure accurate histories accompany studies, contributing to quality care within a Catholic health system renowned for service and community impact.

Formación

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Credentials listed: CCI Cardiographic Tech, ARDMS Cardiac Sonography, ARDMS Medical Sonography, ARDMS/CCI for Vascular, ARRT Radiologic Technologist with Radiography specialty and WI licensure within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Perform high-quality diagnostic examinations by positioning patients, setting up imaging equipment, and selecting parameters to capture precise data.
• Maintain patient safety and clinical compliance by following safety protocols and performing quality checks on equipment and procedures.
• Analyze image results in real-time to identify key structures and pathology, ensuring clarity for the interpreting physician.
• Document and submit all images and patient history to PACS for a complete patient record.

Your future role at a glance

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform high-quality diagnostic examinations by expertly positioning patients, setting up all imaging equipment, and accurately selecting technical parameters to capture critical, precise patient data.
• Maintain the highest standards of patient safety and clinical compliance by rigorously implementing safety protocols and performing essential quality control checks on equipment and procedures.
• Analyze image results in real-time to recognize key anatomical structures and potential pathology, ensuring the clarity and diagnostic value of every study for the interpreting physician.
• Document and promptly submit all high-quality images and accurate patient history to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), guaranteeing a complete and timely record for the patient's care team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
