Rods Steakhouse, an award-winning establishment known for its exquisite wine selection and unparalleled dining experience, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our team. Located in Morristown, New Jersey, we pride ourselves on offering our guests an unforgettable culinary journey, supported by an exceptional wine list curated from around the globe.

As our Sommelier, you will be instrumental in enhancing our guests' dining experience through expert wine recommendations, managing our wine inventory, and working closely with our culinary team to pair and suggest wines that complement our menu offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curate and manage a dynamic wine list that aligns with our restaurant's culinary philosophy.
2. Provide expert wine recommendations to guests to enhance their dining experience.
3. Conduct staff training on wine knowledge and pairing to ensure a consistent, high-quality guest experience.
4. Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage of wines.
5. Organize wine-tasting events and wine-pairing dinners for guests.
6. Stay abreast of industry trends and forge relationships with vendors and distributors.

Requirements:

1. Certified Sommelier with 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fine dining establishments.
2. Extensive knowledge of wine varieties, vineyards, and the wine production process.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests and enhance their dining experience.
4. Proven track record of managing wine inventories and supplier relationships.
5. Passion for wine and a continuous desire to expand personal wine knowledge.
6. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
