Skydio is seeking a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering for SLED Small Cities. This remote role oversees a high-volume, transactional motion with travel about 30%.

You will lead a growing team, own capacity planning, and partner with Sales to drive land-and-expand opportunities across state and local agencies. The role requires 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles and 1+ years of leadership, with deep knowledge of drone tech, CAD/VMS integrations, and public safety operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant technical experience in customer-facing roles.
• 1+ years leading a technical team or as a technical lead.
• Strong understanding of drone technology and Public Safety sUAS operations.
• Working knowledge of CAD, VMS, and related software platforms.
• Proven ability to hire, onboard, and develop technical people.
• Comfort operating inside a Sales organization with quota ownership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to brief executives.
• Lead by example and resolve customer situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Solutions Engineering team across SLED Small Cities, hiring and coaching teammates.
• Drive technical wins, manage demos, site assessments, and customer documentation.
• Own capacity across the segment and allocate resources to opportunities.
• Represent the customer voice to Product and Engineering, shaping requirements.
