Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Solution Engineer to serve as a trusted advisor to Tier 1 Service Providers, architecting end-to-end networks and guiding POCs. You will lead technical engagements, align architecture with account strategy, and drive transformations using modern IP routing and automation.

This remote role requires relocation flexibility to Seattle/Bellevue, WA or Overland Park, KS, with on-site collaboration as needed to support customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or network architecture within the Service Provider sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of Cisco's technology portfolio and mastery of Cisco IMI routing portfolio.
• Proficiency in IP Network Automation and API-driven workflows (e.g., Ansible).
• Strong communication, presentation, and executive-level interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle from discovery to architectural design, validation, and POC execution.
• Secure technical wins by addressing objections at engineering and executive levels.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to translate architectural vision into account strategy.
• Lead end-to-end technical design for Service Provider routing (IP Core, IP Edge, Backhaul).
• Guide customers toward Autonomous Network architectures with observability and self-healing capabilities.
• Leverage 5G Mobility Core expertise to modernize mobile infrastructure.
