Job summary

Tapcart is seeking a Solutions Engineer to own the technical alignment on deals, scoping native vs. custom integrations, and guiding buyers to confident decisions.

You'll run technical discovery on a brand's stack (Shopify plan, headless, subscription, loyalty, CDP, ESP) and craft clear onboarding specs for partners. You’ll own onboarding docs, sandbox access, and engagement rules, while feeding partner needs back to Product for the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in solutions engineering or partner-facing technical role in ecommerce/SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of web and mobile commerce architecture: APIs, webhooks, data integrations.
• Ability to convert ambiguous asks into clear specifications.
• Bonus: Shopify experience, agency-side background, or frontend/mobile dev skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AEs as the technical lead on prospect and expansion deals - scoping what's native vs. custom, and giving buyers the confidence to sign.
• Run technical discovery on a brand's stack (Shopify plan, headless, subscription, loyalty, CDP, ESP) and turn it into a clear path to launch.
• Own the external developer and agency partner onboarding process end to end - docs, environment setup, sandbox access, rules of engagement.
• Author specs for integrations and custom builds, review partner deliverables against them, and unblock developers as they build.
• Feed recurring partner and customer needs back to Product as structured input for the roadmap.
