Job summary

United Systems is seeking a Solutions Engineer II to join the Professional Services Team. This role focuses on completing client IT projects and resolving escalated managed service issues, configuring network, server, VoIP hardware, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure.

You will provide post-installation support to ensure optimal performance and reliability, with travel up to 25–50%. Responsibilities include documenting activities, handoffs at shift end, and creating IT Glue articles.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and installing network and server hardware.
• Strong Windows/Server knowledge including domain controllers and user creation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration and licensing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network, server, and VoIP issues.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% for client evaluations and projects.

Responsibilities

• Document all activities, projects, and tickets daily in the ticketing system.
• Handoff in-progress tickets before shift end.
• Create or update IT Glue articles documenting new findings.
• Perform network and server capacity analysis and planning.
• Install and configure hardware and Microsoft 365 infrastructure per standards.
• Provide support for client infrastructure and serve as escalation resource for junior staff.
• Build client rapport during onsite troubleshooting and site walkthroughs.
