Job summary

Impact Networking seeks an IT Field Engineer (Field Services Engineer) to deliver onsite IT service, maintenance, and project execution at client locations. Travel locally to ensure high-quality support and onboarding, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain seamless IT operations.

The role requires strong expertise in Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V), AD, DNS/DHCP, cloud services (Office 365, Azure), and ITIL/Service Management familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT field services.
• Fundamental understanding of Server Administration.
• Experience with Windows Server 2012–2025.
• Active Directory management and maintenance.
• DNS, DHCP, and Remote Desktop Services.
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Storage solutions: SAN, NAS, Shared Storage.
• Networking fundamentals: firewalls, switches.
• Cisco Meraki and other technologies.
• Backup technologies.
• Office 365, Azure and other cloud solutions.
• Mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows).
• RMM tools such as N‑Able, Kaseya or LabTech.

Responsibilities

• Engage in Business Transformation Assessments (BTA) focusing on discovery and data gathering onsite.
• Provide onsite client support for core MIT networking, server, and client technologies.
• Collaborate with Service Desk to develop and execute client management plans.
• Document and resolve on-site issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Work with TOC to follow a structured problem management process.
• Coordinate with vendors and LoB application providers for field support.
• Maintain timely documentation of issues and labor in Impact’s ticket system.
• Pursue ongoing training and certifications with manufacturers.
