Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking a Staff Solutions Engineer to collaborate with Account Executives, translating customer needs into technical designs and guiding deployment of Confluent data streaming solutions. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solutions Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with event‑driven architecture and data integration/processing.
• Experience with cloud architecture, migrations, deployment and application development.
• Experience with automation, GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL.
• Cloud developer/architect and data engineering & integration certifications.
• Strong self‑starter mindset and a drive to learn complex problems.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
• Experience working with LATAM markets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advance new data streaming use‑cases from conception to Go‑Live; lead technical proofs of concept.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to develop new use‑cases; provide thought leadership.
• Guide customers with hands‑on help and best practices to mature deployments of Confluent technology.
• Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities; collaborate with product and engineering teams.
• Forge strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and serve as a dependable partner.
