Job summary

IBM is seeking a Staff Solution Sales Engineer for Confluent in a hybrid US role. You will partner with account teams to architect data streaming solutions, drive proofs of concept, and guide customers toward scalable, cloud-based deployments.

Qualifications

Extensive experience as a Solutions Engineer or similar role.
Experience with Event-Driven architecture, data integration/processing, and data warehousing tech.
Exposure to cloud architecture, migrations, deployment, and app development.
Experience with automation, GitOps and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL.
Technical certifications in cloud development/architecture and data engineering.
Strong problem-solving and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead technical advisement alongside Account Executives to address customer needs.
Execute and lead Technical Proofs of Concept from conception to Go-Live.
Facilitate discovery sessions and whiteboard discussions to craft new use-cases.
Provide thought leadership through technical talks and workshops.
Guide customers with hands-on support to mature deployment practices and optimize consumption.
