Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking a Staff Solutions Engineer to partner with customers and account teams to design scalable data streaming solutions across industries. You will drive early evaluation and ongoing value realization, surfacing business needs and delivering technical designs that enable adoption of Confluent technology.

You will lead discovery sessions, develop new use-cases, and provide thought leadership through talks and workshops.

Qualifications

• Portuguese speaking BiLingual; ability to communicate with LATAM customers.
• Extensive experience as Solutions Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with Event-Driven architecture, data integration & processing, and data warehouse tech.
• Exposure to Cloud architecture, migrations, deployment & application development.
• Experience with automation, GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL.
• Technical certifications in Cloud Dev/Architect, Data Engineering & Integration.
• Self-starter with willingness to learn and tackle hard technical problems.
• Excellent presentation and communications skills; able to present to varied audiences including executives.
• Experience working with LATAM countries.

Responsibilities

• Advance new data streaming use-cases from concept to Go-Live; lead technical proofs of concept.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to develop new use-cases; deliver technical talks and workshops.
• Guide customers with hands-on help and best practices to mature Confluent deployments.
• Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities.
• Forge strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and serve as a dependable partner.
