Job summary

Snowflake seeks an experienced Solution Engineer to solve customers’ complex problems and close large deals. You’ll work with sales and channel partners to understand needs, strategize on winning cycles, and deliver value-based demos and PoCs.

Location: based in Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi or Alabama, with ~30% travel. Strong SQL, Python, and data-warehouse skills are essential. Eligible for Snowflake equity and commission plans.

Qualifications

• 7-8 years of industry experience with at least 5 years in a pre-sales environment.
• Outstanding presenting skills to technical and executive audiences.
• Broad experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse tech, ETL, analytics and cloud.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
• Ability to connect customer business problems with Snowflake solutions.
• Ability to map customer architecture to Snowflake Data Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
• Demonstrate and communicate value of Snowflake throughout the sales cycle, from demo to PoC to design and implementation.
• Immersive understanding of competitive technologies and positioning Snowflake accordingly.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and marketing.
