Job summary

Freshworks is seeking a Lead Solution Engineer in the United States to join our North America GTM team, supporting Industry Verticals across SLED, Higher Education, and Manufacturing. You will partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, shape tailored solution strategies, and deliver demonstrations that connect Freshworks ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, ESM and AI capabilities to customer priorities.

The role requires 6–8 years in Solution Engineering or related pre‑sales, strong storytelling

Qualifications

6–8 years of Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or similar pre‑sales experience
Experience selling SaaS solutions into verticals: SLED, Higher Education, or Manufacturing
Excellent presentation and storytelling skills with ability to translate technical concepts into business value
Ability to work cross‑functionally to solve complex business and technical challenges
Experience positioning or selling AI‑enabled solutions is preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery and shape overall solution strategy for active opportunities
Develop tailored solution demonstrations aligned to industry workflows and customer priorities
Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle to drive technical and business outcomes
Translate customer requirements into clearly defined business and technical solutions
Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing and Customer Success to incorporate industry insights
Evangelize AI-first capabilities of Freshworks to technical and executive audiences
