Job summary

Freshworks is hiring a Lead Solution Engineer to join our North America GTM team, supporting SLED, Higher Education, and Manufacturing. You’ll translate customer needs into Freshworks solutions, conducting technical discovery and delivering tailored demonstrations that connect ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, ESM, and AI capabilities to client priorities.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or similar pre-sales experience.
• Experience with SaaS solutions in verticals like SLED, Higher Education, or Manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of how customer requirements and buying processes differ across industries.
• Experience with ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, ESM, or related platforms preferred.
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work cross-functionally to solve complex business and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a dedicated Solution Engineering partner to sales teams across SLED, Higher Education, and Manufacturing.
• Collaborate with customers to identify critical business and technology needs.
• Lead technical and business discovery, shaping solution strategy for opportunities.
• Translate customer requirements into defined business and technical solutions.
• Build and deliver tailored demonstrations aligned to industry workflows and priorities.
• Articulate value of ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, ESM, and AI capabilities to technical and exec audiences.
• Develop repeatable vertical-specific demonstrations and best practices.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to feed industry insights back to the org.
• Stay current on trends and evolving customer needs in target industries.
• Evangelize Freshworks’ AI-first capabilities and user experience.
