Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead customer engagements and drive adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. You will partner with sales, design scalable architectures, and guide customers through implementation to achieve meaningful business outcomes.

You will demonstrate expertise in open source projects, cloud integrations, and data engineering tools, while building trusted advisor relationships with clients across the territory.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand Databricks capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for customers evaluating and adopting Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture and validate integrations with cloud services.
• Build and present reference architectures and how-tos for customers.
• Promote open source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog) in communities.
• Travel to meet customers in your territory.
