Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect in the United States to lead the technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions and driving platform adoption. You will work with customer technical leads and architects to position Databricks as the foundation of data and AI strategy, developing a specialization in a domain such as real-time/ML/AI.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre‑sales, or senior hands‑on technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding and debugging capabilities.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, cloud-native platforms.
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders and perform design reviews.
• Experience with production deployments on public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Track record of driving platform adoption and communicating business value to technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery through production deployment.
• Lead complex architecture discussions spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects and Directors.
• Drive technical wins in competitive scenarios with custom-built solutions.
• Develop an emerging technical specialization (archetype) for the team.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources (DSAs, SSAs, Partners) to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Influence product direction with structured feedback on customer requirements and gaps.
