Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead customer engagements, design data-driven architectures, and guide deployments of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. You will partner with sales, work with open source projects like Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow, and build trusted advisor relationships with customers.

In this role you will collaborate with product, post-sales, and partners to identify use cases, develop solutions, and drive meaningful business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with big-data focus.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Strong coding and debugging in at least one language listed (Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and data warehousing concepts.
• Engineering or mathematics degree (BS/MS) required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to translate business problems into data-driven Databricks solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to evaluate, adopt, and implement Databricks platforms.
• Design reference architectures and proof-of-concepts for strategic customer projects.
• Demonstrate applications and integrations with cloud services and third-party apps.
• Travel to customers within the territory to drive outcomes.
