Job summary

Databricks is seeking Solutions Architects to drive adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. You will work with customers, teammates, product, post-sales teams, and partners to design architectures, develop solutions using Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog, and guide implementations to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales role or consulting role
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems
• Comfortable programming in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
• Experience with Data Warehousing technologies (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
• Undergraduate degree or higher in engineering or mathematics

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks
• Consult on big data architecture and validate integrations with cloud services and other applications
• Build and present reference architectures and demos for customers
• Promote open source projects across developer communities and at meetups/conferences
• Travel to meet with customers in your territory
