Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead customer engagements, design distributed data architectures, and drive adoption of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform.

You will collaborate with sales, product, and post-sales teams to map customer use cases to scalable solutions and build trusted advisor relationships. You'll work with open-source projects like Apache Spark, MLflow, and Delta Lake, travel to customers, and mentor teams while shaping technical strategy and

Qualifications

7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Data engineering tech (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
SQL OLTP/OLAP/DSS data warehousing experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with sales to show Databricks value for business problems.
Provide technical leadership to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
Consult on big data architecture and Proofs of Concept for projects.
Build reference architectures, how-tos and demos for customers.
Promote Databricks open-source projects in communities and meetups.
Travel to customers in the assigned region.
