Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking Solutions Architects to drive adoption of the Unified Analytics Platform.

You will partner with sales, customers, and post-sales teams to translate business problems into scalable data architectures using Spark, Delta Lake, and cloud services. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role requiring deep expertise in distributed data systems, cloud platforms, and data engineering.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Have built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical conversations with customers to evaluate needs and propose architecture.
• Design and present reference architectures and best practices.
• Develop proofs of concept and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party apps.
• Collaborate with sales, post-sales, and product teams to deliver solutions.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects across developer communities and at events.
