Job Summary
The Solution Owner Veeva Clinical will be responsible for overall application ownership, technical direction, and domain methodology leadership for Veeva Clinical applications. The role will oversee solution design, technical governance, vendor and stakeholder management, and delivery of Veeva Clinical capabilities in alignment with the organisation's technology roadmap, business objectives, enterprise architecture, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution design and application architecture for Veeva Clinical applications.
- Provide strategic guidance to business stakeholders, internal technology teams, and external partners on solution roadmaps and long-term system strategies.
- Lead governance, operational management, and continuous improvement activities for Veeva Clinical.
- Lead and mentor engineers, configurators, and technical teams on solution methodology, architecture, and design principles.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture, platform standards, security principles, and long-term business objectives.
- Act as a key escalation point for complex technical issues, solution decisions, design reviews, and approvals.
- Drive delivery and operational methodologies in alignment with platform, service management, and technology standards.
- Partner with business and technology leadership to establish and evolve solution principles, standards, and methodologies.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to delivery teams to ensure high-quality implementation, support, and maintenance of Veeva Clinical applications.
- Oversee integrations, system connections, data migrations, configurations, and application enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to optimise Veeva Clinical solutions, improve business processes, and increase operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, quality processes, and audit-readiness practices.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of relevant technology advancements.
- Collaborate proactively with stakeholders to gather requirements, define system needs, communicate progress, and ensure solutions meet business expectations.
- Support global implementation and application management activities across diverse business and cultural environments.
- Proven experience implementing, configuring, or maintaining one or more Veeva Clinical applications such as:
- eTMF
- CTMS
- SSU (Study Startup)
- Payments
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in project delivery, application management, or IT services within a multinational/global organisation.
- Strong experience in strategic planning, stakeholder management, solution design, and application ownership.
- 3+ years of experience as a Veeva Vault Architect OR 5+ years of experience as a Veeva Functional/Configuration Specialist.
- Proven experience implementing, configuring, or maintaining one or more Veeva Clinical applications such as:
- eTMF
- CTMS
- SSU (Study Startup)
- Payments
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts and solution designs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional, technical, data, and system requirements.
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments and driving technology transformation and change.
- Experience managing global projects and cross-cultural teams.
- Proficiency with relevant enterprise software tools, platforms, and application management technologies.
- Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service management methodologies.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Education & Certifications
- Veeva Vault Platform Certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Certifications in Agile, ITIL, PRINCE2, PMI, or other project management methodologies are an advantage.
- Agile/DevOps certification is a plus.
