This role combines technicalexpertise, customer engagement, and solution architecture to help customersand partnersunderstand, evaluate, and deploySentrycs' industry-leading C-UAS technology.The Solution Engineer willhave strong customer engagement skills, will be able to articulate how a proposedand compellingsolution design addresses customer requirements,and will be able to articulate field requirements toSentrycs' R&D,delivery, and Customer Successteams.
The ideal candidate isself-motivated and proactive. Theyareequally comfortable discussing RF engineering concepts with technical experts,demonstratingsolutions to executive stakeholders, supporting operational field demonstrations, and collaborating with engineering teams to develop customer-focused solutions.The candidate shouldhave a strong technical background in computer software and networking systems as well as awareness of common RFconcepts. Experienceoperatingand deployingUAS\\c-UAS systemsis a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partner withUSSalesLeadersthroughout the sales cycle as the primary technical advisor.
- Become a trusted advisor forSentrycs'prospective customers, understand their operational requirements, challenges, andobjectives,design and recommend C-UAS solutions tailored to customer operationalrequirements,andmaintaina collaborative relationship withprospects and customers.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer operational requirements, missionobjectives, and system integration needs.
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept evaluations, including building event summary reports.
- Develop technical proposals, system architectures,deploymentdiagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)forquoterequests managed by the US SalesExecutives.
- Prepare responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and technical compliance matrices.
- Support customer evaluations, acceptance testing, and field demonstrations throughout the United States.
- Providetechnical guidanceregardingRF systems, spectrum considerations, and protocol-based mitigation technologies.
- Coordinate with Product Management and Engineering to communicate customer requirements and product enhancement opportunities.
- Support system integration with command-and-control platforms, radar, EO/IR sensors, and third-party security systems.
- Assistchannel partners and system integrators with technical enablement and solution design.
- Partner with Customer Success team members to delivertechnical training for customers, partners, and internal sales teams.
- RepresentSentrycsat trade shows, industry conferences, and customer events.
- Maintain awareness of emerging UASand c-UAStechnologies, competitor capabilities, evolving C-UAS regulations, and C-UAS industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, ora relatedtechnical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales.
- Experience supportingemergingtechnology sales toat least one of the following markets;government, defense, homeland security, public safety, or critical infrastructure customers.
- Strong problem solving and prioritization skills.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, Ethernet, routing, switching, and network architecture.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and command-linemanagement andtroubleshooting.
- Familiarity with RF communications, wireless networking, and spectrum fundamentals.
- Excellent presentation and customer-facing communication skills.
- Demonstrates a proactive mindset byanticipatingcustomer and company needs and taking the initiative to act on them.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as HubSpot and Salesforce.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the United States and occasionally internationally.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Counter-UAS (C-UAS), electronic warfare, RF sensing, SIGINT, or spectrum management technologies.
- Experience selling emerging technologies to military, law enforcement, or public safetycustomers.
- Knowledge of FAAand FCCregulations, Federalprogramsandacquisition processes,and SLTT law enforcement programs and acquisition processes.
- Experience integrating security technologies including radar, cameras, access control,Unmanned Aircraft SystemTraffic Management (UTM), and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) systems.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, networking protocols, virtualization,andcloud-based deployments.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized applications.
- Comfortable working in afast-paced startup environment with rapid changes, handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously,and taking on a variety of roles as business needsdictate.
- Existing U.S. security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) is highly desirable.
