Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Schaumburg, IL seeks a Solution Architect to design and oversee complex public safety deployments, from equipment to call flow, acting as design authority across projects.

You will lead detailed call flow design sessions, integrate applications, IP networks, security, and storage, and collaborate with project managers, sales engineers, and customers to ensure successful implementation.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of technical or engineering experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; no sponsorship.
• Experience with Public Safety applications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Technical integrity of the deployed solution.
• Collaboration and oversight of all other technical resources.
• Requirements gathering for proper deployment.
• Support Project Manager and customer coordination.
• Site walks to confirm requirements and assess installation environment.
• Lead detailed Operational Call Flow Design meetings.
• Post Sales Design documentation (VESTA).
• Cabinet layout drawings (CallWorks).
• Support System Staging team.
• Participate in the cutover of Motorola ECH solutions.
• Approve and execute Methods of Procedure.
• Deliver and manage project-specific documentation.
• Provide mentorship to team members.
• Maintain subject matter expert skills.
