Sora Resource Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Morris County, NJ to design water and wastewater equipment using SolidWorks and to develop fabrication drawings for in-house production.

You will work closely with fabricators, iterate on designs, and own the details to ensure first-time build accuracy, with a focus on conveyors and new equipment development in a growing in-house shop.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience; outstanding candidates with less may be considered.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; primary tool for design and fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to design beyond drawing a need.
• Accurate, detail-oriented drafting and ability to discuss designs with fabricators.
• Local to northern New Jersey and able to work fully onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.

Aufgaben

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings for shop use.
• Determine how to build customer-required equipment, including new designs.
• Lead conveyor design work from requirements through release drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans, progress, and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with required level of detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work for each order.
• Ensure details are correct before release to achieve first-time fit.
