Job summary

SAIC is seeking a SCADrafter/CAD Operator II to support the US Navy in Crane, IN, creating/updating Technical Data Packages using SolidWorks 3D parametric software.

You will draft and modify detailed models, work with engineers, technicians, and other CAD operators, and use calipers, gauges, and rulers to verify designs. Interim clearance is required, with sponsorship for a secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
• Experience using 3D CAD software; hands-on mechanical/electro-mechanical knowledge; understanding of manufacturing processes and ISO procedures.
• Must be detail oriented and able to communicate complex ideas.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with detailed or general instruction.
• Interim clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance; SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.

Responsibilities

• Creates and modifies detailed models and drawings using SolidWorks and other 3D parametric CAD Software(s).
• Works closely with the Customer, Engineers, Technicians and other CAD Operators to capture design.
• Works independently as well as in a team to effect changes to design and/or documentation.
• Performs a variety of moderate and complex tasks and uses tools to aid in design development and verification of first article pieces.
