Job summary

HII - Mission Technologies in Crane, IN is seeking a Drafter to support engineering and configuration management with high-quality drafting and SolidWorks modeling in a fast-paced environment. This onsite role requires a Secret clearance and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with CAD standards.

Level 2 and Level 3 salary bands apply, with opportunities for growth based on experience, education, and DoD/government project exposure, plus a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• LEVEL 2 requires an Associates Degree plus 1 year of related experience or a High School Diploma plus 3 years related experience.
• LEVEL 3 requires an Associates Degree plus 3 years related experience or a High School Diploma plus 5 years related experience.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with advanced modeling and drawing skills.
• Clear understanding of configuration control, documentation standards, and CAD data management.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
• Active SECRET security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
• Support configuration management activities including document control, revision tracking, and engineering change integration.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, CAD standards, and applicable industry specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to maintain design accuracy and proper documentation.
• Participate in configuration audits and maintain accurate records of engineering and design data.
• Maintain excellent quality standards in all drafting and documentation deliverables.
