Job summary

The City of Loveland is seeking a Solid Waste Manager to lead Loveland's comprehensive solid waste system, including curbside and recycling programs, at the Loveland Recycling Center. You will develop budgets, oversee contracts, and champion safety and environmental compliance while driving waste diversion and customer satisfaction.

You will manage staff, partner with regulators, and leverage data and technology to modernize operations, improve efficiency, and maintain financial sustainability

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience with progressive responsibility in the solid waste management field.
• 5 years' supervisory experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• SWANA certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in development and implementation of division budgets.
• Plan and implement programs for collection of refuse, recyclables, and yard waste.
• Oversee contracts with third-party vendors and ensure compliance.
• Develop educational and promotional programs on waste reduction.
• Lead long-term strategic planning for the division.
