Job summary

Larimer County is seeking a Resource Recovery Program Manager to lead sustainability and resource recovery initiatives within the Solid Waste Department under the Solid Waste Director.

The role provides strategic program management, coordinates cross‑functional teams, builds partnerships across the organization and with public and private partners, and serves as a subject‑matter expert for waste diversion development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Three years of program-related experience required.
• Reliable transportation to work at County facilities.

Responsibilities

• Advance diversion and resource recovery initiatives to support sustainability and landfill diversion.
• Coordinate internal and external teams and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Serve as County representative for resource recovery and waste diversion development.
• Identify, pursue, apply for, and monitor grants.
• Present information to the community, partners, and elected officials.
• Develop metrics to measure program success, including diversion projects.
• Provide oversight of the resource recovery program.
