Zusammenfassung

The City of Loveland in Loveland, Colorado is seeking a Solid Waste Manager to lead the City’s comprehensive waste system, directing curbside, recycling, yard-waste programs, and facility operations.

You will develop and manage budgets, drive safety culture, oversee contracts, and promote recycling initiatives while coordinating with customers, regulators, and regional partners. Remote work up to two days per week may be available.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in public administration, environmental science, business administration, or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in solid waste management with progressive responsibility.
• 5 years’ supervisory experience required.

Aufgaben

• Oversee division budgets and forecast funds for staffing, equipment, materials, and technology.
• Plan and implement programs for collection of refuse, recyclables, and yard wastes.
• Oversee contracts and ensure compliance with terms and performance.
• Develop educational and promotional programs on waste reduction and recycling.
• Prepare and monitor monthly cost/revenue performance metrics.
