Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is hiring Solar Technicians at Trainee to Level III for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of PV solar systems. You’ll work under supervision, shadow experienced techs, and advance through exams within six months while supporting safe operations and on-site reliability.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a strong mechanical aptitude. On-call shifts, travel, and overtime are expected as part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Must possess valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude; no prior electrical experience required.
• Able to work in adverse climates/environments and travel as required.
• Able to read and interpret schematics/wiring diagrams (preferred).
• Willing to progress and take guidance from supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment under supervision.
• Shadow and assist experienced technicians with PV system maintenance.
• Operate and maintain a service vehicle.
• Work a flexible on-call schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Complete Level I–III duties as training progresses and pass required exams.
