Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is hiring a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform on-site maintenance at one or more solar plants across the United States.

This permanent, site-based role requires readiness to relocate to a specific site and to travel up to 10% for training or coverage. You will work under supervision to learn safe work practices, perform testing and basic repairs, and document all activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical environments via formal training or work.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform lock out/tag out of energized parts/systems.
• Basic solar installation/plant knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of testing equipment.
• Obtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification.
• Strong English communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce safe practices on site.
• Work safely and seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks.
• Operate and care for company equipment and tools.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond on-call to assist in emergencies.
• Document work performed accurately.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
• Support diversity and inclusion in SOLV Energy culture.
