Job summary

AES is seeking a Solar Technician II for the Armadillo Solar project in Corsicana, TX. This role covers O&M activities at utility-scale solar sites and substations, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in PV O&M and 5+ years in power plants, plus strong electrical fundamentals. You will lead field personnel, perform maintenance, and ensure operations meet industry standards at AES CE sites.

Qualifications

• Three or more years’ PV O&M solar technician experience.
• Five or more years in a power plant; 1+ year in PV Solar O&M or construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical fundamentals and control circuits.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform O&M activities for solar PV sites and substations.
• Conduct corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance safely.
• Prepare switching and clearance orders.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead and train field personnel as needed.
