Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Solar Technician I to support utility-scale PV plants and substations near Corsicana, Texas. The role requires 1+ years in PV O&M and the ability to commute daily to the site.

You will perform maintenance, switchgear tasks, and follow safety standards while contributing to AES's mission to power a sustainable future. This position offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Possess a 4-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman qualifications.
• Three or more years’ experience as a PV O&M solar technician.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical fundamentals and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee O&M activities for solar PV sites and substations near Corsicana, TX.
• Perform corrective, preventive, and routine maintenance on PV equipment and substations.
• Prepare switching and clearance orders; operate plant systems safely.
• Assist with vegetation management and plant documentation as needed.
• Adhere to Environmental and Safety requirements; participate in training.

Education

2-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman qualifications

Three (3) or more years’ PV O&M solar technician experience
