Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Solar Technician II to support utility-scale solar PV sites in Michigan. The role covers O&M activities, maintenance, and operations across the Calhoun County project and related substations.

You will operate with strong safety standards and work with a team to ensure performance exceeds industry norms. The ideal candidate has PV O&M experience, robust electrical knowledge, and the ability to train and lead other field staff.

Qualifications

• PV O&M experience required with solar utilities or IPP projects.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and install/maintain PV equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on solar sites and substations.
• Prepare switching and clearance orders and ensure compliance with safety rules.
• Coordinate with field personnel and supervision for outages and tests.
• Travel to sites as needed and support Platteview or other projects.
