Geronimo Power is seeking a Solar Technician II to independently perform on-site operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment replacement at the Bee Hollow solar facility. This role supports safe and reliable plant operations and completes work in accordance with prudent utility practices, regulatory requirements, manufacturer guidance, and company standards.

The Solar Technician II reports to the Area Manager, Field Operations and participates in a

• High school diploma or GED; technical school, electrical, instrumentation, industrial maintenance, or power-generation training preferred.
• Typically two+ years of power-generation, industrial electrical, renewable-energy, or utility-scale solar O&M experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control-system faults.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout and electrical safety practices.

Responsabilidades

• Follow safety programs and procedures including lockout/tagout and electrical safe-work practices.
• Operate and maintain plant equipment such as inverters, transformers, and tracker systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per procedures and manufacturer guidance.
• Troubleshoot common faults and escalate complex issues to senior staff or OEMs.
• Read electrical schematics and technical prints to diagnose issues.
• Repair or replace PV modules, inverters, trackers, and related equipment.
• Document inspections, alarms, test results, and parts usage in CMMS.
• Maintain tools, inventory, and work areas for safe operations.
• Support contractor coordination and help less-experienced technicians by sharing safe practices.
• Travel occasionally for site coverage or maintenance campaigns.
• Complete safety and technical training; perform other duties as assigned.
