Job summary

Geronimo Power is seeking a Solar Technician I to perform on-site operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacement at the Grant Solar facility near Canistota, SD. This role supports safe and reliable plant operations and requires adherence to EHS standards and company policies.

Will report to the Area Manager, Field Operations. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics interpretation, and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience or power industry training.
• Experience in solar facility operations preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and technical prints.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow all EHS programs and procedures.
• Operate and maintain plant equipment including HV equipment, inverters, transformers, panels, and trackers.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per manuals and manufacturer requirements.
• Read schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical control systems.
• Repair or replace PV modules, inverters, trackers, and control panels.
• Support quality assessments and CMMS record-keeping.
• Travel to other plants as needed; participate in on-call rotations.
• Assist with warranty administration and capital projects.
