Job summary

Geronimo Power is seeking a Solar Technician III to serve as an advanced field technician supporting safe, reliable, and efficient operations at the Bee Hollow solar facility.

This role independently performs complex troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, equipment replacement, and technical work planning; provides day-to-day technical guidance to less-experienced technicians and contractors; and supports site reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical electrical/instrumentation training preferred.
• 4+ years in power-generation, industrial electrical, renewable-energy, or solar operations and maintenance.
• Advanced experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety programs and lockout/tagout for electrical work.
• Operate and maintain solar plant equipment including inverters, trackers, and control panels.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per procedures and OEM specs.
• Diagnose complex issues and coordinate with engineers/ OEM support as needed.
• Read electrical schematics and technical prints to troubleshoot issues.
• Document inspections and work in CMMS; manage tools and parts.
• Lead field tasks and coach junior technicians; coordinate contractors.
• Travel to other sites for coverage, maintenance campaigns, or training.
