  • Typically four or more years of related power-generation, industrial electrical, renewable-energy, or utility-scale solar operations and maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, communications, controls, inverter, tracker, and balance-of-plant systems in an operating facility.
  • Working knowledge of electrical safety practices and the ability to apply lockout/tagout, energized-work boundaries, and test-before-touch requirements.
  • Ability to plan and lead complex field tasks, coordinate contractors, interpret technical documentation, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Proficiency using electrical test equipment, computerized diagnostic tools, plant monitoring systems, spreadsheets, email, and CMMS/work-order systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in adverse weather, perform the physical requirements of the role, and successfully complete a job-related post-offer fit-for-duty physical if required.
  • Ability to live within 60 miles or a 60-minute drive of the primary plant location.

Responsabilidades

  • Follow all company and project environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safe-work practices.
  • Operate and maintain plant equipment, including combiner systems, inverters, pad-mounted transformers, control panels, meteorological stations, tracker systems, communications equipment, and other balance-of-plant equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with approved procedures, equipment manuals, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Lead diagnosis and resolution of complex or recurring equipment failures; escalates engineering, OEM, or warranty support when appropriate.
  • Read electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical prints to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-system issues.
  • Repair or replace PV modules, inverter and string-inverter components, tracker components, meteorological equipment, control panels, wiring, connectors, and related equipment.
  • Document inspections, alarms, troubleshooting steps, test results, parts usage, and completed work accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain site tools, test equipment, inventory, spare parts, and work areas needed for safe and efficient operations.
  • Provide technical guidance, task coordination, and on-the-job coaching to Solar Technician I/II employees and contractor personnel; this role does not require formal people-management authority.
  • Support work planning, outage coordination, root-cause reviews, procedure improvements, and reliability initiatives using operating and maintenance data.
  • Support contractor work, quality assessments, warranty claims, capital improvements, equipment retrofits, and vegetation-management activities.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule that may require short-notice work outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
